If you’re applying to study anywhere else, please contact the respective university to confirm the acceptability of this course and the grades required.

Access teaching

Many students take this Access course because they want to apply for a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) but can’t gain entry because they don’t have Higher maths.

Our Access qualifications, with successful completion of assessments, are accepted for entry into all our PGDEs:

Because they’re designed around the SCQF, our Access qualifications are accepted for entry into PGDE courses across Scotland. They’re currently accepted at:

  • Edinburgh Napier University
  • Queen Margaret University
  • University of Dundee
  • University of Edinburgh
  • University of Glasgow
  • University of the Highlands and Islands
  • University of Strathclyde
  • University of the West of Scotland

However, our Access qualifications do not guarantee entry.
