Maths course provides access to a brighter future

As a 24-year-old, time-served commercial heating and ventilation engineer from Dundee, Lewis Lamb decided it was time to start working towards a degree.

This is Lewis’ story

After my old company went into administration, I decided it was time to quit procrastinating and start working towards a better future.

I chose the University of Aberdeen for my studies, as the flexibility of study time available to me was more varied than anything that was on offer elsewhere.

This provided me with the time and materials required to get myself moving in the direction I have been thinking so hard about for years.

Getting back into studying was made as easy and as comfortable as possible, despite how daunting it may be, thanks to the University.

The delivery of the coursework online was life-changing, in the sense that everything I needed was at my fingertips on my laptop whenever I needed it. I was also able to access all of my course documents on my smartphone anytime, anywhere.

This flexibility allowed me to use all of my spare time wisely to achieve the most from my studies.

I’m proud to say that getting back into studying after five years was made as easy and as comfortable as possible, despite how daunting it may be, thanks to the University of Aberdeen.
